Baseball is starting up again.and I love it.  The sport has so many stories that you can talk about from Barry Bonds dressing up as Paula Abdul for rookie hazing at Giants spring training, to his chase for Hank Aaron’s 755 home run record.  You can talk about the New York Mets and all the changes they made.  Is this the year the Atlanta Braves finally lose the division crown after winning 14 in a row? (I hope it isn’t).  So many questions can be asked about baseball and the year it will have.

But the biggest story in baseball so far didn’t happen at spring training or the World Baseball Classic or even division I college level.  It happened here in our own backyard.  PJC’s baseball team lost their first three games of the season, then ran off 15 straight games in a row.  Fifteen games in a row.that’s remarkable.  The streak came to an end on Feb. 28 and lasted for a month.  They went 15-1 in the month of February.

I don’t care what level of baseball is being played.  Fifteen games in a row is a remarkable feat.  Big kudos to PJC’s baseball team on their fantastic run.
