PJC lost their first game of the Panhandle Shootout to IMG Academy at Marianna. 65-63. It was a back and forth game throughout. Down by two with just 14 seconds left, forward Miles Taylor missed a game tying lay-up as time expired.

Taylor lead the team in scoring with 18 points. Guard Lasha Parghalava had 12 points and Fred Jones had 10 points. Jones played a key role in the game. As IMG threatened to pull away in the second half, Jones hit three consecutive 3-pointers to tie the game.

The coaching staff said that PJC lost the game due to poor shooting. PJC shot only 35% from the field for the game.

PJC’s record is now 6-3. They will play ABAC at Marianna on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
