Nomination forms for the 2006 Teaching Excellence Awards are available now in the academic departments, the provost office, and the student services sffice on all campuses. The forms are also on-line at http://pjcnet/ and at http://pjc.edu/students/students.aspx.

Teaching Excellence Awards are designed to recognize outstanding classroom instructors who demonstrate sustained teaching excellence as measured by four criteria: 1) demonstrated knowledge of and enthusiasm for subject matter; 2) good rapport/relationship with students; 3) effective course content and organization; and 4) effective instructional methods.  Winners are inducted in the Academy of Teaching Excellence and receive a onetime, $1,000 stipend.  Students, groups of students, administrators, or faculty members may submit nominations. 

Nominations are due in the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006.
