Welcome back to yet another edition of Walking the Plank, this time with Competitive Eating National Champion 2005 Bobby Socks.  Lets get down to the nitty gritty.

Q: What compelled you to get into this kind of rough and tough sport?

A: Well, as a small child I was never good at any sports like football or basketball.  I found my calling at the county fair at the mere age of 6.  They had all these pies lined up and you could win money and prizes just for eating as many as you could.  I love pie and money, so the rest fell into place.

Q: What kinds of foods do you like to compete with?

A:  Well, of course pie, and more pie, but I definitely like competing with boiled eggs and hotdogs.

Q: Don’t you worry about making yourself sick or becoming overweight?

A: There are quite a few competitors in this sport who would be what is considered overweight but a little jello in your jiggle doesn’t hurt anybody!  As far as making myself sick, it comes with the territory.  Sure I throw-up and have to swallow it back down to win, but everyone does.

Q: What do you hope to achieve in today’s hotdog eating contest?

A: I hope to be the 2006 Golden Hot Dog.  Hot-diggidy-dog, let’s get started!
