Q: What do you teach?
A: Astronomy 1002, in class lecture, on web, and as labs

Q: How long have you been a teacher?
A: Since 1970, 39 years. Last 35 at PJC.

Q: What job did you want to have when you were little?
A: Research astronomer

Q: What was your first job?
A: Farm hand, from age five to seventeen

Q: Where were you born?
A: DeFuniak Springs Florida

Q: What was your major in college?
A: Physics at University of Florida as BS, Astronomy Education at M.Ed. and Ed. D. levels

Q: Where do you want to retire?
A: In the area, probably in Pensacola or DeFuniak

Q: Describe any hobbies that you have.
A: Writing, paleontology, corresponding with friends and astronomy club members, astrophotography, family history work

Q: Do you know a second language? If not, what language would you want to learn?
A: German, Latin, Spanish

Q: What did you have for breakfast?
A: Smoked salmon with cream cheese on English muffin, persimmon, cranberry juice

Q: Describe your dream vacation.
A: Merry and I want to go to Australia, explore the outback and southern skies, visit friends we have met on the net down under

Q: If you could be any cartoon character who would you be?
A: Snuffy Smith

Q: What was the last concert you attended?
A: Cats in Mobile

Q: Who is the most famous person you have met?
A: Several; John Glenn, Jim Lowell, Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke come to mind.

A: High School: Walton Braves
College: Florida Gators (both basketball and football)
Pro: Detroit Tigers

A: Walt Disney’s World of Color

A: Enya and other Celtic artists

A: Keep looking up!

A: John Cusak

A: There are no dumb questions. The human mind is designed to ask, explore, discover, probe, learn, and utilize this to make yourself and your planet better….God got it right when He designed our brain, but it is up to you to use it.
