The Pensacola State Lady Pirates defied the odds again last week as they beat Chipola to make their record 24-0. The Lady Pirates have proven to be unstoppable and show no sign of giving up their No.1 spot in the NJCAA national rankings as they have remained at the top for almost three months. They also control the FCCAA polls as they lead their conference by a long shot, although all five Panhandle teams claimed the top five spots.
The men’s team has fallen back to the No. 10 spot in the Feb. 1 state poll.after rising to the No.5 spot last week. They have an overall record of 15-9. Chipola stays in the No.1 spot, Tallahassee moves to No. 4 and Northwest Florida falls to tie in the 6th spot.
