Are Students with eligibility going to vote in the upcoming election?
With the 2012 election quickly coming our way, most students are paying close attention to politics and the presidential campaign. This is going to be a very important decision for students.
Students with new eligibility are struggling to decide if they are going to vote. Making the correct decision is the hard part.
“As a Republican, I feel it is very important that we pay close attention to what has happened in the last four years,” stated Pensacola State College student Chad Wallace, “It is vital that we make the right decision in changing who will run our country. Obviously, our president has failed to fulfill his promises, and we do not need any more lies.”
Some students pay closer attention than others, and they also get more heated about the campaign. As students tune in and out, they are mostly interested in what these candidates are promising to the world.
Many students have run into the same problems as Christina Moore.
“This election is very important to me because it is my very first time voting, and I want to make the right decision,” said Moore.
Other college students are not politically involved and do not understand campaigns and politics. A lot of students may not care what happens with the election.
Some students, like Janna Suarez, don’t pay attention to politics. “I am not in tune with politics. I am just voting for the same candidate my parents are voting for,” said Suarez.
Although it is common to not agree with everything the candidates believe in, there are obvious reasons as to why students will vote for a certain candidate.
