Students planning to graduate this December must submit an application for the Commencement Program by Oct. 31.
Graduation applications will be accepted after this date, but only those received before will appear in the program. Applications can be found at www.pjc.edu or in the Registrar’s office. When completing an application, students should include their legal name as they would like it to be printed on their diploma. All students must apply to graduate whether or not they plan to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Students are also asked to reflect on their time at PJC and keep in mind any teachers or staff that have impacted their education. PJC is giving graduates an opportunity to thank those who have played a significant role during their journey to success.
For the past three years PJC has allowed students to thank their teachers “in a special way,” said Martha Caughey, the campus Registrar. Caughey said this is an “intrinsic reward for teachers,” and they often “compare notes and ask each other, ‘Did you get one?'”
An email with further details will be sent to students’ PirateMail accounts.
For more information regarding graduation, call the Registrar’s office at 484-1623; and all questions regarding the the ceremony should be directed to the Student Life office at 484-1501.
