The PJC Lady Pirates rode a two game winning streak into Wednesday’s game against Chipola. That streak came to an end with a 89-71 loss at home.
Kristen London and Ida Edwards had 14 points each. Edwards also had 10 rebounds for a double-double. Ronke Allen added 12 points, but it wasn’t enough to get past the Lady Indians.
“They shot really well,” Coach Chanda Rigby said. “We really couldn’t defend all that well but it’s tougher when the other team shoots a high percentage.”
The loss drops the Lady Pirates record to 15-11 on the season and 3-9 in conference. Their next game is on the road on Feb. 18th against Tallahassee CC. Their home closer is on Feb. 20th against Okaloosa-Walton.
