Center For Advising and Career Services
The Center for Advising & Career Services was formerly the“Academic Advising” and “Career Connection” offices. We combined our efforts June 1, 2011 to help consolidate services offered to students in a “one-stop-shop” for both academic advising and career planning.
Services: CACS assists students with career exploration and academic planning. We help students make an informed decision about their career path and education.
Normal Fall hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. -4 p.m. with appointments available on Monday evenings.
Extended Fall hours: (Aug 15-18 and Aug 22-25): Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Appointments: Students are encouraged to make an appointment to meet with an advisor to plan their schedules ASAP. However, during the timeframe of Aug. 15-26, we will be helping students on a “walk-in only” basis, due to heavy traffic. For more in-depth advising, students are encouraged to make an appointment with an advisor beginning Sept. 1. Career planning appointments also begin on Sept. 1.
Contact: 484-1630 or 484-1768
Location: We’ve moved! CACS is now located in Bldg 5, Room 508 next to the bookstore.
