On March 4, 2014, Ohio-Chillicothe University Softball team visited Pensacola State College for a double-header where the Pirates won both games, 16-2 and 17-0.
The first game saw a troubling start with 2 runs for the Ohio Hilltoppers and PSC suffered three up and three down in the first inning. Shortly after, in the top of the second inning, the Pirates were able to shut out the Hilltoppers with three up and three down. When the Pirates were up to bat, they scored 5 runs after going through the whole line-up and a couple more.\The rest of the game went well, being riddled with singles, doubles, and triples. The game ended well with 31 at-bats, 14 hits, and 16 runs.
The second game was a blow-out with Ohio only getting 2 hits and 0 runs throughout the game. The Pirates saw one out-of-park home run hit by Ashley Peters and one in-the-park home run hit by Dominique Rodriguez. The game ended with 29 total at-bats, 17 hits, and 17 runs.
PSC will play at home Saturday, March 8 at two and four p.m. for a double header.
