The PJC baseball team lost its opening round game in the State Tournament 2-1 against Daytona Beach Community College on Friday.
The Pirates will have to fight their way through the losers bracket if they want to repeat as State Champions. For any other team in the tournament, that would mean panic time. Not for the Pirates.
“We’ve been in this situation so many times this season. Every time we need a big win this year, we’ve gone out and gotten it,” Head Coach Bill Hamilton said.
The Pirates will play Manatee Saturday at Noon.
