The PJC men’s basketball team rebounded from Thursday’s loss, defeating an undermanned Shorter College team 91-53 Saturday Nov. 26.
Four players scored in double figures and all 10 dressed players scored at least 2 points. PJC’s scoring leader was Tyrone Evans with 16. Yarrish Hammons and Julian Allen had 14 points and Phil Wallace pulled down 12 rebounds.
“They were undermanned so we wanted to put pressure on them early to take them out of the game,” Coach Paul Swanson said after the game. “If you let a team like that hang around they can become dangerous.”
The win improves PJC’s record to 5-3 leading to their next game Nov. 30 versus Faulkner State in Bay Minette.
