Pensacola State College students not only receive a quality, academic education, but they also receive benefits for being a PSC student.
If a student has a valid PSC identification card, they are entitled to receive perks on campus that are free of charge, like using the gym, pool, or library to rent movies.
The Weight Lifting Room in building 1 is used mostly by our athletes, but it is open for all PSC students who are currently enrolled in classes.
Jacob Knoth, intramural assistant at PSC said, “Our athletes use the facility every day. The Weight Lifting Room is also for faculty and staff, as well as alumni, but they don’t use it as much as the students do.”
Gym memberships can be costly, but this is a financial opportunity for students to avoid gym fees and use the facility on campus for free.
“Students can use the facility every day as long as the campus is open, and all you need is a Pensacola State Student I.D.,” said Knoth.

The recreation pool also offers swimming lessons, exercise classes and swimming with a coach. These classes are not free, but if anyone is interested contact Miller at 850-484-1787, or kmiller@pensacolastate.edu.
For students who want to relax, they can check-out a variety of movies form the newly-renovated library. Students can get two videos at once and keep them for a total of seven days. There’s a $1 a day, per DVD, charge to your account if the videos are not returned on time.
Anthony Weekley, psychology major at PSC said, “I usually get about two or three videos a week. That is my relaxation time away from my classes.”
