PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pensacola Junior College invites the community to learn about solar power, wind power, biofuels and other energy resources at the Renewable Energy Forum. The free event is 6 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Hagler Auditorium, Building 2A, on the Pensacola campus. As a part of PJC’s “Environmental and Economic Sustainability” project – also known as “60 SEEDS” – the forum includes short presentations by experts in the field of energy. Guest speakers are John Hutchinson of Gulf Power Co., Marian Marinescu of the University of Florida and Kris Davis of the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa. Following the presentations is an open discussion about renewable energy resources, how they are currently used and might be used in the future.
