The Duke Blue Devils basketball team is always on TV. They are always one of the picks to win the national title every year, and this year is no different. They are also one of the most consistent teams come tournament time. They seem to be the overwhelming favorite to win it all this season.
But let’s look at the big picture. It will be March which means anything can happen in college basketball. There are many other teams that can take down the Cameron Crazies including the Connecticut Huskies and the super underrated Florida Gators. Other teams like the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns are getting hot at the right time and tournament veterans like the Michigan State Spartans and the West Virginia Mountaineers also present tough challenges to the Blue Devils.
Sure J. J. Redick and Shelden Williams may be the best two players in college basketball but I am still not sold on Duke. Ask me again after the tournament is over if I am sold on Duke or not. After all, championships are won in March, not January.
