For every day that we live, it’s the same number given afresh to us once again. It can be a handful of blessings or curses. It can be the best or the worst. It can be a friend or an enemy. Oftentimes, it becomes the container filled with a collection of poorly, misguided priorities constituting the worse of these.

When given the truth from God’s word, we’re presented with an opportunity to accept or neglect it with regards to applying it to our life. Lamentations 3:22-26 says, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.”

Psalm 68 is filled with even more truths, especially in the following verses: “3-But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. 9-

It’s so easy to forget who our God is and the Excellency of his power and love for each of us whenever we’re so caught up in other things, which we allow to disrupt our focus with regards to our purpose. I am as guilty as the next, and I am sorry.

I’m also reminded, however, from John 15:10, that Jesus wants his joy to remain in me and my joy to be full. So today is another chance to see that it is accomplished, and here we are, given one more day. Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary. 16- Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever. 19- Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 28- Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us. 32- Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah: 35- O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!”
