PJC extended their losing streak to five games Wednesday night as they suffered a 90-75 defeat at the hands of Okaloosa Walton College, who also started the losing streak with a 93-91 overtime win over the Pirates on Jan. 5.
PJC head coach Paul Swanson said that his post players were unable to keep up with Okaloosa Walton’s transition game, which resulted in a lot of fast break points for the Raiders.
PJC also continued their shooting woes, shooting just 39 percent from the field and 54 percent from the freethrow line.
Ty Waller, who scored 36 points against PJC in the Jan. 5 game, finished with 20 points.
Miles Taylor led PJC with 22 points. Forward Petras Balocka had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
PJC will play their next game at home on Jan. 30 against Tallahasse. Tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
