A: African-American Literature and Humanities, American Literature, Composition II, Fiction Writing

A: 37 years

A: Cowboy ( really!)

A: Grocery sacker (80 cents an hour)

A: On a Kansas farm (literally)

A: English (a minor in various inebriating subjects)

A: San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (declared a “National Treasure” by Mexico)
Q: Describe any hobbies that you have.
A: Reading, gardening, jogging, two-year-old grandson (Reverse order, actually)
Q: Do you know a second language? If not, what language would you want to learn?
A: Survival Spanish and French (food, bathroom, beer, etc)
Q: What did you have for breakfast?
A: Toast (nine-grain bread) with almond paste, half an apple, cup of green tea
Q: Describe your dream vacation.
A: Endlessly driving my jeep (top down) through Mexico or Guatemala

A: The power to absorb all knowledge

A: Itzak Pearlman in New Orleans

A: I’ve never met a famous person (may my luck hold!)

A: The Mexican national soccer team

A: There was no television in our particular cave when I was a child
