PENSACOLA STATE vs FAULKNER STATE “Sun chiefs”
The Lady Pirates take the win Thurs. night, Oct. 6, in a 3 set match beating the Sun chiefs 25-15, 25-12, and 25-18.
“I’m happy we won and we played hard,” said Tara Vatter-#13, “We’ve been practicing a lot and it shows.”
All of the Lady Pirates had an opportunity to play and show off the skills they have and how hard they have been practicing.
“I was very pleased that everyone had the opportunity to play and you couldn’t tell the intensity didn’t drop at all so that’s a testament to how hard the girls are working,” Head Coach Chris Laird said. “I’m proud of them for pushing through regardless of who was out on the floor.”
The Lady Pirates are 20-5 in the season right now.
“Having 20 wins is awesome,” said Laird. “We didn’t have the chance to have 20 wins last year so hopefully we’ll make the most of it and learn from it and keep pushing forward and represent the Panhandle Conference at the State Tournament.”
