The Adult Basic Education Department’s volunteers will participate in the Belk’s School Benefit Sale Sept. 15-17. The sale will be at the Belk department store in University Mall on North Davis Highway. Coupon books (with great savings and an opportunity to win 1 of 4 Toshiba Satellite P105-S6002 Laptop Computers) may be obtained from the ABE Department, Bldg. 1, Rm. 186, for a $5.00 donation. This is a great time to shop for your school and end of year purchases. The ABE Department will use proceeds from this event to help support literacy projects for our students, to help support our recognition of students in the annual ABE Awards and Recognition Program, and to assist with our Volunteer Tutor Program. Coupon books may be purchased in the ABE office from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Fridays through September 15, 2006.
