The Blue Wahoos Stadium has been a huge part of the culture of Pensacola for at least the past decade. People on vacation and locals alike have come to a ballgame simply for the experience. With the view of the bay, hot dogs, and fun music, it truly is one of Pensacola’s best fun things to do.

Behind the Scenes at Pensacola FC: Competitiveness and Talent Development
During the final day of the SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament back in November, local businesses set up their booths before the game for the fan fest. One of the booths present during the event is for our local soccer club, Pensacola FC, and we arranged a visit for an article. A few weeks ago, I had the honor to attend one of the club’s tryouts and speak to some figures within the club. What I heard was nothing short of passion and competitiveness.
Hoist the Colors High!: Pirates Are State Champions
The Men’s Basketball Team defeated Gulf Coast State 54-48 on March 15 to secure the State Championship. The Pirates’ win in the tournament, which was held in Niceville, marks their first state championship in 32 years and secured them a spot for the nationals which was held in Hutchinson, Kansas, and began March 23.
Men’s Basketball Team: Improvement and a Ticket to the FCSAA Tournament
The Pirates’ performance granted them the right to the play-in game to qualify for the FCSAA tournament. They played against St. Petersburg College in the play-in and emerged victorious with a final score of 72-64 to guarantee their first appearance in the tournament in a decade. Pirates’ center Dimitri Clerc stood out against St. Petersburg as he recorded 19 points and 12 rebounds to help the Pirates book their spot in the tournament, which will be held at Niceville, FL, from March 13th to 15th.

Hope and excitement is in the air at Pensacola State College (PSC) as the men’s basketball team has been heating up and currently stands at a 4-1 record to start the season. The residents of this town along with students couldn’t have been more ready for the home opener that took place on November 1st against Santa Fe College, marking the start of the 2024-2025 season. Pirates took down the saints 80-64 in a statement win.

A Strong Debut and Higher Expectations for the Women’s Soccer Team
September 20th–The final whistle blew on a warm September afternoon to cap a dominant 3-0 display for the Pirates against the Southern Union State Bisons. The game’s first half was balanced, with both teams creating chances and exchanging possessions. However, the Pirates proved too much for the Bisons to handle in the second half as the Pirates steadily held possession at the opponent’s half and started to convert their chances.
