Peter Wilkin, PJC Disciplinarian, has been dealing with disruptive behavioral problems from students on a daily basis this semester.

This term, approximately 75 referrals from PJC police and faculty have been given to Wilkin.

“This day and age teachers are very, very, very, very concerned about any kinds of behavior in the classroom, they’re on pins and needles, they’re afraid,” said Peter Wilkin.

Wilkin believes that these behavioral problems are a result of the type of home life the students have and the negative media with which students are associated.

Wilkin teaches a workshop to PJC instructors on how to deal with disruptive behavior.
