Heavy rain around 7 p.m. Tuesday caused the Ninth Avenue entrance to Pensacola State College to flood, disabling three vehicles that attempted to drive through the water.A PSC Public Safety Officer, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said he saw an SUV that was stuck in the road and started to help.
A second and third vehicle also got stuck despite the SUV having its emergency lights on, according to the officer.
The officer then closed the entrance for approximately 15 minutes as the road drained.
Jason Nall, who was making a delivery to Subway, stopped to help push one of the vehicles out of the water, just to “do a good deed,” he said.
“None of (the vehicles) are working,” said Nall.
Others also stopped to help, one who had a tow rope, and the SUV was towed to a nearby parking lot, where it was worked on Wednesday morning.
