Things That Piss Me Off:

You’ll find them in almost any class. Perfectly primped hair, make-up that took forty-five minutes to apply, brand name clothes, high heels, and no books or backpacks. They don’t pay attention in class. They never turn their cell off, and they text message in class. Now I ask you, why are they here? Obviously they aren’t here for an education. So why do these girls go to school if not to learn?

Husbands.

Yes, husbands. They are looking for a man who is getting an education. A good education mean a higher paying job. A higher paying job means the “husband seeker” can spend his money and have everything she wants paid for.

Now don’t get me wrong, if you want to find a man to take care of you and give you things, great. But don’t waste my time in class by causing disruptions with your perfect pink rhinestone cell phone. Get out of the way and stop taking up all the parking with the shiny convertible that daddy bought you. Don’t even look at me with your Est‚e Lauder rimmed eyes with that vapid smile upon your Clinique lips.

Go find yourself a happy little singles bar or  hop on line and google yourself a dating site. College is a place to get an education, not a spouse.

Sincerely,

Amber Star Hawkins
