On Friday evening, February 22 at 6:00 p.m., Phi Theta Kappa’s Theta Chi Chapter will be hosting its third Satellite Seminar on the Honors Study Topic, “Gold, Gods and Glory:  The Global Dynamics of Power”. The event will be held in building 21, room 2110 on the Pensacola Campus.

Friday evening’s seminar is presented by Kevin Phillips, author of two recent New York Times bestsellers, American Dynasty and Wealth and Democracy.  Phillips has established himself as a critic of the political and economic forces that are ruling the U.S. In this satellite seminar, Phillips speaks on “American Theocracy: The Peril and Politics of Radical Religion, Oil and Borrowed Money in the 21st Century.”  In his talk, Phillips explores the political and religious coalitions, he believes are driving the country to the brink of disaster.  Is America headed for the same fate as the Roman Empire or is Phillips a pessimist?  Come listen and decide for yourself!

The presentation will be followed by a group discussion of this controversial topic.  Refreshments will be provided.
