The Pensacola Junior College Baseball team carried a 15 game winning streak into Tuesday’s game against Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.  That streak ended with a 4-1 loss at home to the Bulldogs.

Nate Hall drove in PJC’s only run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, scoring Jono Waugh.  But PJC’s bats went quiet only managing two hits the entire game.

Pitcher Eric Womack struggled in the first inning giving up four runs and five hits.  After the first, he settled in and shut-out the Bulldog bats the rest of the game.

The loss snaps a 15 game winning streak that lasted from Jan. 29th to Feb 28th.  PJC’s lost its first three games of the season then put up this run.

The Pirates were able to rebound in the second game of the doubleheader though winning 5-2 behind Nick Pressley’s pitching performance.  Pressley went 7 innings giving up just 4 runs

PJC’s next game is on the road March 1st against Lurleen B. Wallace.  The next home game is a weekend series beginning on March 3rd against Delgado CC.  Their season record is 16-4
