* More than $1,000 in camera equipment, clothing and art supplies were stolen from a car parked on the Pensacola campus Jan. 23.

The victim’s 1993 Jeep Cherokee SUV was parked in lot 15 on the Pensacola campus. Between ll:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., while the victim was attending classes, someone removed the items from the car.

Included in the missing items is a Canon 35MM Camera, valued at more than $300 and a Quantaray Zoom Lens, valued at $220.

The victim told PJC Police that the rear cargo door had not been locked prior to the victim leaving the car. There was no sign of forced entry.

* A car window was shattered Jan. 13 on the Pensacola campus.

The victim had parked a 1993 Ford F-150 truck in lot 16 at around 8 p.m. The victim left the car and returned a short while later. The victim then saw that the passenger widow had been broken. Nothing was missing from the car.

The victim told PJC Police that he had a verbal altercation with some people skate boarding outside building 13 a few days earlier.

PJC Police surmise that a work truck with something hanging over the sides, like a ladder, could have accidentally broken the window.

The case is inactive pending further information.

* PJC Corsair newspapers have been reported stolen from the Milton campus.

On Jan. 29, Corsair Editor Jim Ellis reported to PJC Police that more than 1,000 copies of the Jan. 21 issue of The Corsair had been taken from the Milton campus newsstands in a little more than a week. Corsairs were also reportedly torn up on the campus last semester. The Corsair staff notified PJC Police Jan. 21.

There currently are no suspects.

Anyone with information on these or any other crimes is urged to contact PJC Police at 484-2500.
