TWO APRIL CONCERTS

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pensacola State College presents the 2011 Rolfs Piano Series at the Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium.

The classic piano repertoire features Martin Camacho at 2:30 p.m. April 9 and Tao Lin at 2:30 p.m. April 16.

Martin Camacho has won 18 national and local competitions in Mexico, Cuba and the United States; today, he is considered one of the most important Mexican pianists of his generation.  Camacho has appeared as soloist with orchestras in the United States as well as with prominent orchestras in Mexico – including Mexico’s State Orchestra and Bellas Arte Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed extensively as a recitalist worldwide.

Chinese-American pianist Tao Lin’s appearances in Asia, North America and Europe have brought unanimous critical accolades and praise for his subtle, intimate pianism and brilliant technique. His recent recital at Gusman Concert Hall was selected by the Miami Herald as one of the top classical music events in South Florida for the 2010 concert season. A versatile musician, Lin is equally at home as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.

Concert tickets are $10, reserved admission; $8, seniors, children, non-Pensacola State students; $6, Senior Club members, Pensacola State staff/faculty/retirees; free, Pensacola State students.
