The spicy aroma of chili drew students to the pavilion outside building 5 on Tuesday, October 29, for an SGA-run chili fundraiser.
Group members served various types of chili and toppings for $2 a bowl from 11:00 to 2:00 PM, with proceeds going toward their group.
“We use the money for trips, to pay for team-building activities, and to get together as a group,” said SGA member Tabitha Brown.
“We just started, and have had a decent turnout— better than expected.” Saleem Krichi, the SGA president, commented on the fundraiser’s success.
SGA will use the proceeds for their next event, and ultimately for a large, end-of-year project for the campus.
