Feb. 4 was a tough loss for the Pirates against Chipola with a 48-61 loss after winning back on Jan. 18; 45-43. This leaves the Pirates with an overall 20-5 and 4-3 in Conference. With Coach Pena not in attendance at last nights game, Indians were able to pull a big lead on the Pirates with a 14 point lead with 9:25 on the clock. At 2:44 on the clock #5 Antoine Myers was injured and bleeding(from being hit in the face) they had to call an emergency time out to clean up the blood of the court. Pirates managed to catch up with falling only 7 points behind at half-time leaving the score 24-17. In the second half, Pirates were unable to catch up or take over the lead. Pirates will have another opportunity for revenge against the Indians on Feb.22 at Home. Until then, the Pirates next game will be Wed. Feb. 8 against Tallahassee Community College following the Lady Pirates game. The Pirates stand in the rankings at #2 in the State and #8 in the National Poll Rankings.
