Pensacola State’s mens’ basketball team did not defeat Baton Rouge Community College for the third time this season, as the Pirates fell 68-53 in play on Friday, January 4, 2013.

Pensacola seemed to have everything going against them from the start; the team were left stranded on Interstate 10 as the bus broke down on the way to Baton Rouge.

The game that was supposed to be played at 6 p.m., did not start until 8:45 p.m. and left the Pirates with little time to warm-up.

The Pirates were led by sophomore Devin Wilson who had a game high 18 points, with freshman Qiydar Davis and Dawuud Salaam also scoring in the double digits as they combined for 24 points.

The Pirates will host Gulf Coast Community College on Wednesday January 9 in their first conference match up of the year at 7:30 p.m.
