For this week’s Kudos Korner, I have nominated Jack Herndon in the Business Department.
The first day of school, I went to the bookstore to purchase my books for class. One of the books I needed was unavailable and had to be ordered, and I was informed that there is 2-3 day turn around for the book to be in. The class that the book was needed for is an online course and there was homework to be submitted the first week so I continued to check on the book to be told it still was not in.
I was given information to contact the library to see if they had the book to check-out but had no luck.
I decided to try the Business Department to see if maybe there was a book there till the one I ordered arrived. That’s when I meet Mr. Herndon. He was so thoughtful and understanding of the whole situation and he went above and beyond what he was doing to look for the book for me.
Once he discovered the book was unavailable, he contacted my instructor for me to inform her of my situation. He advised me once he heard back for the instructor he would call me to notify me of the outcome, which he did.
Just to know there are still good-hearted people in the world that is willing to give a helping hand puts a smile on my face, and for this Mr. Herndon I say thank you. Keep up the good work.
