The All-USA Academic Team program annually recognizes 60 outstanding two-year college students. The criteria are designed to find students who excel academically; demonstrate intellectual rigor in their course of study; show academic growth; and use their two-year college education to better themselves, their school and their communities.
The top 20 receive stipends of $2,500 each, while all receive extensive national recognition through coverage in USA Today.
To be eligible, students should expect to obtain an associate’s degree between Dec. 1, 2006 and Aug. 31, 2007. The student must post a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 grading scale for all college credit course work completed. Students must have completed at least twelve semester hours (or quarter hours equivalent).
