Blessings! Wicca is an earth-based religion and one of the most popular forms of paganism. Here in Pensacola, there are quite a few wiccans living among the hundreds of Christians that dominate this region.

Surprisingly (or not), this is actually not the best city in America to be pagan.

This Wiccan has come under the gun of the prejudices and persecutions that abound here in Pensacola. There are many cities up north that accept Wiccans and other pagans as contributing members of society.

Norfolk, Virginia is a city that not only accepts wiccans as they are but also has several amazing and affordable occult shops as well as a weekly gathering for pagans of all denominations.

Pensacola has no such organizations. There is a group out of Milton that accepts new members and welcomes all pagans with faith and love. This group is called Fire Dance Church of Wicca led by Lord Edward Livingston. If you’re interested, check out their web site at www.fdcow.com or their Yahoo group.

If you too are a member of this ever-growing community then you have noticed the decided lack of occult shops and places for us to gather. Is All One Spirit on Garden Street but that’s pretty much it.

I have lived in many different cities along the Gulf Coast as well as the East Coast and have found a plethora of occult shops with prices that are twice as affordable as those of All One Spirit. It is a great shop but for a Wiccan on a budget . . . not affordable.

Pensacola just isn’t a Wicca friendly place. Watch yourselves my fellow wiccans. Guard your secrets closely and keep those you know you can count on closer. This is a dangerous and unfriendly place for us.

Merry Meet, Merry Part, Til We Merry Meet Again. Blessings to you all.
