Registration for the spring term began November 3, and students have until December 4 to pay tuition and fees. Online registration started after midnight on November 3 and extends through the start of classes next term on January 7, 2015.

Students registering in person can speak with a counselor and complete the process between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays at the Registrar’s office.

When it comes to payment, if the registration was processed on or before December 4, then the fees are due by 6 p.m. on December 4. If the registration was processed after December 4, fees are due by January 6. After that date, students must pay upon registration.

If payments are not made by the due date, the registration will be cancelled and the student will have to re-register. That spot in the class then becomes open to other students.

Martha Caughey, assistant registrar, had some advice for students with a packed schedule: She urged them to speak with an advisor to answer questions about their course selections and schedule. Caughey warned that decisions should be based on more than simply one’s work hours.

“An academically strong student may be able to enroll in distance learning (web-based) classes,” Caughey explained. “For the average student, part-time enrollment in distance learning and/or face-to-face classes may be the best option. For a student struggling with academics, part-time enrollment in face-to-face classes would most likely be suggested. These are questions the student would discuss with an advisor of his or her choice.”

For more information on class registration, visit the Pensacola State College website or stop by the Academic Advising office during the hours of operation. The school’s calendar is posted at http://www.pensacolastate.edu/calendars-and-schedules/.
