‘We shoot kids, don’t we?’: thoughts on “The Voice of Hind Rajab”

On February 6th, 2026, I watched the killing of a real child in an art cinema. Everyone walked out of the theatre, unable to communicate the atrocity beamed into them. Reactions were split depending on knowing the child’s story, leaving either in shock because of the end or, in the case of one person, crying for the entire last half of the film. We all saw a massacre, and we didn’t do anything to stop it.

Inside the Boardroom: Free Speech, Procedure, and Power at Pensacola State College

In recent years, the Pensacola State College District Board of Trustees have appeared frequently in mainstream media coverage, often in stories with concerns about transparency, governance structure, intellectual freedoms, the right to protest, and student accessibility. The Corsair sat down with Chair Gordon “Flash” Sprague to learn what the role of the Board of Trustees actually is and how they impact our college.

Pensacola State College Poetry Event with Michael Ruby

In the auditorium, with the cameras in back, and the College clubs behind their tables as keen-eyed as bats; curiosity had steeled the bustling crowd’s mind towards Michael Ruby. I attempted to understand him before he even mentioned his name, his thoughts; while others, of course, searched for salvation in their phones. Then Michael Ruby spoke. Not with power, but with an insightful self-confidence that said, “this is who I am”, an astonishing normalcy which articulated how his writing reflected himself.

Opinion: Pensacola By The Slice

With spring in the air, now is as good a time as any to grab a slice of pizza. If only it was that easy. Pensacola has at least 10 local pizza places, not counting any fast food like Domino’s, or places that have pizza tacked on the menu as a second thought. Now, I may not have the time (nor stomach) to visit 10 places, but even a few places is a good way to start. A quick search showed a few popular places, so I gave them a visit to see if their pizza held up or fell limp.
