Developing study habits can be hard for students. In fact, it can feel impossible. Luckily, we live in an age where people have come up with solutions and are willing to provide their wisdom. The Learning Center at the University of North Carolina [at Chapel Hill] has a list of study habits and practices to help better studying habits.
The arts are important to Pensacola, that’s for sure. Things like Gallery Night, the Arts Festival, and our Jazz Festival all represent the culmination of our town’s collective interest and passion for all things creative. Specifically, the Jazz Festival is the community event where well-known and local jazz talents would show off and entertain the festival attendants. On February 19th ECSO deputies arrived outside the Alfred Washburn Center to “clean up” Murphy lane. To do this, they threatened to arrest the homeless people who were waiting outside the center unless they left so the street could be cleaned.
Joseph Bradford’s Graphic Design II class was given the task of redesigning the covers of a book. The project was simple; choose a book you have read or had personal experience with, then redesign the cover to something of their liking. In all 13 posters created, each student chose a fictional book. Now, their completed projects decorate the walls of the library.
Wednesday nights in Pensacola are all fun and games. These nights, teams get together in different bars throughout Pensacola to laugh, joke, drink, and throw darts. Currently there are about 10 teams in the dart league, and they all play out of different bars in the area all throughout Pensacola. The Ticket 2 location is currently the “home” bar for the team named FTK, and they are as unique a group as their name.
