Pensacola Junior College is hosting the 25th Gulf South History and Humanities Conference Oct. 5-7 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Pensacola Beach.
The conference is an annual event sponsored by the Gulf South Historical Association, drawing researchers and scholars from colleges and universities in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
Special theme sessions will address hurricanes, wars, commerce and opportunity along the Gulf Coast.
